Nathan Klassen by Dale Hirschman

Professional Bull Rider

2007 Prairie Circuit Champion

Nathan Klassen is a cowboy, but more importantly, he's a businessman who makes his living riding bucking beasts. He also rides bulls better than most in his business, which was proven again in 2007 when he won the bull-riding championship in the Prairie Circuit of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, which is made up of contestants and events primarily in Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska.

Along with his regional title, Nathan earned his ticket to compete in the Dodge National Circuit Final Rodeo in March 2008, where he proved, once again, why he's considered one of the best bull riders in the game.

He and his wife, Jessica, live in the eastern Oklahoma community of Wagoner, but his office is traveling from one rodeo to another. In 2007, he rode better than 50 percent of the animals he mounted for the qualifying eight seconds, a phenomenal percentage in an event as wild and reckless as bull riding.

"I just kind of fell into it," Nathan said. "We went to a few rodeos when we were growing up, and one of my favorite movies was 'My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys.' When my brother and I saw that movie, we just knew we wanted to ride bulls."
